Decagon Gallery’s online exhibition, “PLACES AND SPACES,” invites photographers from across the globe to explore the multifaceted relationship between people and their environments. This call welcomes photographic interpretations of the spaces we inhabit, traverse, or even envision, ranging from expansive landscapes to intimate corners, and from vibrant urban settings to secluded solitary spaces. The exhibition aims to illuminate how these places mold our experiences and identities, while also considering how we, through our presence and actions, leave our own imprint on them. All photographic approaches are encouraged, whether documentary or conceptual, focused on urban or rural settings, deeply personal or overtly political, and presented in a literal or abstract style. We encourage you to surprise us with your unique perspective on the theme of places and spaces.
Entry Fees:
$24 for up to 4 images
$4 each for entries 5 through 8
Two additional entries free if submitting 8 paid entries (up to 10 total)
Submission Guidelines:
- Your files must be set to at least 2100 pixels on the long edge, saved as jpg or jpeg, and be less than 3 mb (that’s the size of the closed file).
Name the files: “FirstName-LastName_title.jpg”
First Place: $500 cash prize and an online Solo exhibition
Second Place: $300 cash prize
Third Place: $200 cash prize
Juror’s Awards and Honorable Mentions
All selected photographers will receive a digital award badge
Selected work will be published in a printed exhibition catalog available for purchase.
A short video presentation will be created and shared on YouTube and the gallery website and social media.
You retain all rights, including copyright, to your photographs.
We will never distribute your photos to anyone.
