The Americana Photo Awards is an international photography competition open to both professional and amateur photographers from around the world. It aims to celebrate the essence of American life, capturing its diverse culture, varied landscapes, and the spirit of its people through the lens of photography. The competition encourages both classic photographic styles and innovative new ideas, welcoming photographers with a creative vision to join a distinguished circle of contemporary artists who are shaping the future of photography.
Images do not need to be taken in the United States, and can be from all around the world that capture the global spirit of Americana.
Entry Fees are $40 ( Professional) or $30 (Amateur)

Cash Prizes & Recognition:
- Cash Prizes: The top three “Photographers of the Year” receive cash prizes ranging from $500 to $3,000.
- Global Exposure: Winning photographers gain significant international exposure.
- Winners Gallery Exhibition: All winning entries, including category winners and honorable mentions, are displayed in the Winners Gallery.
- Photoshow Screening: Winning and nominated works are screened at the Photoshow event.
- Winners Book Publication: Winning photographs are published in the official Winners Book.
- Winners Video Series: Winning photographs are featured in the Winners Video Series.
- Certificates of Achievement: Both winners and nominees receive Certificates of Achievement.
- Winner and Nominee Medals: Winners and nominees receive medals.

By entering the Americana Photo Awards, photographers grant the competition permission to use their submitted work for promotional purposes. This includes use in the Winners Book, on the Americana Photo Awards website and other electronic media, in exhibitions, and in other marketing materials for up to four years following the Winners PhotoShow. Photographers also acknowledge that their work may be published in third-party publications, such as newspapers and magazines, solely to promote the work, the photographer, and the Americana Photo Awards. The photographer’s name will always be credited alongside their work.
